SoundMax Intergrated Audio Asus P5P800 SE

    Has anybody worked out how to get decent sound from the P5P800 SE board with Vista installed yet?
    It uses an ADI AD 1888 codec that everyone seems to have forgotten about it (espically Asus) when they made drivers that were compatible with Vista. I am useing a DELL driver at the moment but it has a little Snap Crackle & Pop going on as well.
    This board runs vista perfectly in every way except for the onboard sound

    If it a SoundMax intergrated chipset, try using the Windows XP version drivers first.
