I'm try to build SP1 in to install.wim , boot.win , but after test install in test pc resulte = windows 7 with out sp1 // i don't know i'm work wrong step ? please help me !
Did you update the wim index that got installed? To others: This is exactly (or more or less) what rt7lite does. Most people say you can only slipstrea vista and windows 7 by reversed integation, but I didn't understand how vlite and rt7lite were able to do it then. So I took a look at how rt7lite did it and this appears to be the way. Rt7lite only updates 1 index at a time, so you'd have to do every edition in install.wim separately. What I don't understand is why rt7lite can do the whole procedure of extracting sp1 and all cabs inside, mounting image, integrating sp, saving and unmounting image in 20 to 30 minutes. The integration allone takes more than 30 minutes here, so rt7lite must do something to make it faster. I don't know if the redundand backup files are still in the iso. Does anyone know where they are stored? Or if anyone still has the integrated iso with rc that got leaked a while ago, can you check the install.wim size? And why rt7lite's image is bigger than when using this method: that's due to the structure of wim files. If the same file exists in multiple indexes, it's only stored once. Result: If all indexes are updated than the old files aren't there anymore in any of the indexes, so they don't need to be in the wim. If you slipstream using rt7lite than only 1 index is updated, meaning that the newer and older files are still there. Second thing is that rt7 doesn't export the image, this cuts down the size by about 100MB. And if an app is using files inside the mountdit or you have an explorer window open in the mountdir, then it can't unmount.
Stannieman I've been coached by integrating SP1 and the first time I did it right. When I repeated the procedure for the second time I encountered an error in the third Chapter: 3-Integrating the Service Pack. I started the index: 1 and everything is OK. Then I put the index: 2 and I highlighted the error: The user has tried to make a connection to the directory which is empty. This method is not supported. Why did this happen but I do not know.
Did you unmount the index first? So mount index 1, integrate, unmount, then mount index 2, integrate, unmount....
What i see is we are integrating all the languages with the install.wim....cant we update the update.mum where it is mentioned language=nuetral to our language?? wont it save space? I am just suggesting dont know id it is actually possible
All languages are in the servicepack and in the mum files, but only the erquired langpacks are actually integrated.
It could be. Just do 1 first, than 2, 3 and keep increasing the number by 1 every time. At some point dism will say the index doesn't exist, you're erady then.
You might want to mention to do this slipstreaming on a machine running Windows 7 because XP doesn't support dism (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) commands. I was trying to perform the Win7 slipstream from my work computer that runs on XP Pro. Had to stop at the dism section. EDIT- Didn't realize the cmd prompt was still at c:\sp1\tools> Now it's working.... THANKS!
No need for waik or windows7, just follow the guide. Both dism and imagex are in the zip file to you can download, and when extracted you'll find them in the tools folder
Let's say that I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 English. Would it be possible to first integrate the Brazilian Portuguese language pack, and then integrate SP1? The desired result would be that both the English and Brazilian Portuguese languages are updated.
I'm in my bed now with my mobile, so I'll have a look at it tomorrow. But, what's an aio dvd? Both x64 and x84 in same install.wim, ore something else? @Subpsyke: yes first integrate langpack, then use the right sp1 wave that contains portuguese. First do the langpack and follow the tutorial that can be found somewhere here, cause you'll need to edit boot.wim also with new lang. Also notice that, to make the eulas show correctly, you need to copy the portuguese language folder AND the english one in step 3 of the guide.
This is inside in 'update.ses' In 'Windows7SP1-KB976933~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.1.17514.mum' you find Code: allowedOffline="false"
