SPI Flash EEPROM

    I have a motherboard with a broken SPI Flash EEPROM with size of 512 kb & I do only have a replacement SPI Flash EEPROM with size of 2 mb.
    I am wondering if it is possible to program the SPI Flash EEPROM with size of 2 mb & replace it with the broken one of size of 512 kb!!!:confused:
