I've seen in other forums that this problem arises from the thinner SSD's and they actually miss their physical connection! Leading some to think they have a bad drive, format issue, or BIOS problem. On my laptop (Dell 1545) I turned it right-side-up and it facilitated the connection. Others have used shims. Just thought I would throw this out there and possibly save someone an RMA.
