Since yesterday I have this problem. I installed an image with acronis true image home.
After restart it stopped before welcome screen! So I tried the repair procedure from the windows 7 repository but without succes . ( it used to work before)
Then I found my daz recovery cd and with that I could start up again!

But now I can only start up with the cd, it hangs always with normal start up!

Anyone knows how to fix this? Daz ??

Another problem here is that you used Acronis ;) It's like the Symantec Norton of the backup world. My opinion, anyway :D

Now I have even a bigger problem . After I tried to do the repair procedure - I used bootsec.exe /nt60 sys /force even the daz recovery cd didn't work anymore! ( endless fallback loop detected!)
So I once more installed the image , and could start up with recovery cd. But my copy is not genuine and I can't use the daz loader anymore !

What can Y do, install windows 7 again? I'm desperate!

try "bootsect /nt60 ALL" instead of sys

I tried that first but no result!

How long can I use this not genuine situation?

It would be easier to back up and wipe the HDD and start over. Sounds like corrupted sectors.

Try chkdsk /f or chkdsk /r

Now my system is genuine again! very strange but it still will not start up alone ! (only with help from daz recovery disk) And I didn't install the loader again.

What's going to happen next ?
Maybe I should do a chkdsk but then I will have to install the loader again.

try using the internal win 7 image backup it does a great job but remember to burn the recovery disk first.

    Nobody ??

Although I must say it starts much faster with the daz recovery cd.
    In msconfig ; start up computer i got this ;

    Windows7(C:\windows) : Huidig besturingssysteem; Standaardbesturingssysteem

That doesn't look OK does it ?
