I' think you are trying to convince more yourself than me. At least you know what you are trying to say.
I never update my OS from MS. Never. And this policy has been consistent inasmuch I will be in dilemma over the July update since I do install service packs when they're available. I am 100% sure the upgrade will turn on more dubiuos apps and the stuff they are bound to add under the hood, well, worrying.
Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB is something as spectre of Windows 7 no constant updates, no problems, simply works fine til now
Mint is for flocks, just like windows. Arch is a good linux. Manjaro is a good Arch based distro wich is good for newbies as well
Maybe that's what I need then, instead of trying to find the "best"-less-use-of-resources-better-use-of-my-ram-Windows-10!!!
Sure. Especially if you take your time installing Arch, or the Network install flavour of Manjaro, you can install just what you stictly need, because Arch (and arch based) doesn't drag a ton of unneeded dependencies. But the ready to go Manjaro XFCE is light enough for a quick test drive.
It's a mistery to me that in a win 10 upgrade advise thread one of the trolls (garbellano) advises to install linux instead of answering the question with a real answer, the advise of the troll is the one one reacts to....
