    Sounds more like a hardware-related issue. This is a clean install, right? Can you post your system specs?

    Check you have DirectX Runtime Update installed.
    Win7 RTM doesn't come shipped with DX 9
    It runs DX 9 test if your hardware cannot run DX 9 then...

    This happened to my P3 mahcine also.
    It is an hardware issue.
    The P3 machine is very obsolete.
