Suggestion for a new laptop for college

    I would go for an Acer Aspire V5 571G! More HDD Space, much better Graphic with 1 GB dedicatyed Memory, 15.6" screen! But: No 20GB SSD which wouldn't bother me (personal)!

    That 20GB SSD is jsut enough for the OS and basic apps. As it comes to more installation, that would slow down the work because the need of using the normal HDD!

    That's my personal opinion!

    Does the University that you will be attending have an on campus store? and if so don't they provide considerable discounts for possible laptop choices ?

    No. We don't have anything like that here. I think it is under consideration.
