Hi, new to the forum. Bought an Asus netbook with 7 Starter. I tried several programs to change the wallpaper and was considering hacking the registry... Then it just dawned on me a few minutes ago: I went to the Asus systemsetting folder under Program Files and opened the Default WallPaper folder. I renamed one of my favorite wallpapers "Default_Wall_Paper_5" and dropped it in with the other 4 lame wallpapers. Checked off that pic when I reopened the System Setting and, bingo, my new wallpaper is now set as my default. I don't pretend to be too savvy, but this works great for me. If this hasn't been addressed here before, I hope it helps someone else.
