Superfetch & Server 2012

    Apparently the Superfetch Windows Service is implemented on Server 2012; but for reasons unknown the Service will halt without throwing up any error messages, or logging any error events. This issue has been corroborated by multiple users, and raised on numerous forums, including on Microsoft's TechNet Forums and even Microsoft doesn't seem to know (or want to say) what's going on...

    (Sorry can't post links as I haven't spammed enough posts in three years)...

    Can anyone here on MDL offer any insight, or know of any resources that might resolve why the Superfetch service is actually deployed on Server 2012 and doesn't work?

    it is currently an ongoing problem with Server 2012 and Microsoft will sooner or later catch wind and correct the problem in a hotfix. This is just an example of Microsoft not testing their own final product completely and rush it to RTM status.
