I think with this difference in version numbers i'm going to stick with 3.1 until there is a service pack for 3.2
Are service packs put out regularly or is it as and when they feel like it as it seems Maintenance Packs on the older versions would jump a few numbers.?
Version 12.0.0.10517 broke image file spanning configuration. It will always span image file across multiple volumes no matter if it is enabled or not. 12.0.0.8065 does not have this bug.
Use of the command switch -split=0 in order to prevent spanning (i.e. multiple .gho files when creating an image). FWIW: I personally use the following: ghost32 -auto -sure -split=0 from a command line under WinPE when executing the 32-bit version of ghost...
I did not try command line switches. But unchecking "Spanning" and "AutoName" in Ghost64's options did not work. Up to 12.0.0.8065 they were respected.
symantec.com/connect/articles/whats-new-ghost-solution-suite-32 I see from the comments that others have noticed old revision numbers in 3.2 and as usual symantec support doesn't explain anything. *edit* How do you format your post so people need to login to read it?
Nope. To be honest I still prefer the older 11.5 ghost for casting. Company license expired years ago and Symantec took too long to update. If I need to clone for someone I've been using Terabyte Image for Windows...
NOT at all. NONE of the other 3 partitions matter for Windows setup. You just dynamically create them on restore, that is the whole beauty of it! You can restore to whatever you fancy (after all it is only data copy) Learn how to do things, really helps knowing.
