Are there restrictions regarding software usage on embedded industry pro/enterprise? I mean like in server versions where some software won't install & instead ask for corporate/enterprise version installer(e.g.some antivirus software usual versions won't install on windows server editions).
@MGadAllah thanks for the confirmation. @rayleigh_otter thanks for info.So wufc makes windows update run like usual,any issues like spectre patches(system will be ryzen 1st gen).
The issue is microsoft started blocking updates on certain hardware, if you look carefully at my post and the -->, ive put a link there, follow the link and you will see what i mean. This blocking started about a year ago and ms probably put this blocker in every update since then.
I knew about this,what I meant was will there be any issues installing those spectre related patches which are not distributed via WU but needs manual install(at least that was the case last year but if not true anymore then please ignore).
There could be problems, whether you use Windows Update or manually install a .msu update. I dont know about installing updates from cab files and dism. I wasnt aware that there were intel microde updates for 8.1.
