I'm considering getting a technet subscription but i'm not sure how it works. I understand that you get access to all OS's and Office but what happens if my account eventually expires after a year? Will the product keys for the software I use now become invalid or not?

    Whats the answer?
I'd like to know, considering it myself, as is the company I started working for.

Nothing happens, legally you are not supposed to use it any more if you do not extend the subs

It is not for production use anyway

Technet will allow you access to all the software and product keys according to the subscription you have. When your subscription expires, you lose access to the software but your product keys are still valid. Also, I suggest that you download all relevant software and save all products keys while your account is still valid. Technet is only for testing and not for normal use eg. in an operational business environment.

Damn! Sebus replied while I was typing.
