You may not be aware of the fact that these "Which is thew best anti-virus" threads usually get binned at MDL. They come up every few days and usually end up binned.

I guess the reason they come up is because this is an important topic. Just keep one up, and people can put in their two cents. Why keep taking it down? Insanity is doing the same thing over, and over and expecting different results. People want to know about security. Plain and simple. Why would anyone in his right mind take down such important threads?

I've no idea mate. I always assumed it was because it's mostly discussion about software not included in Windows. But I really don't know why these best anti-virus threads get binned.

Microsoft should be including malwarebytes along defender as part of free with Windows 10 in the first place. But, does anyone know which malwarebytes software work best with Windows 10?

It had got to happen, was only a matter of time, I was waiting for it.

I'll say no more about it as he and I have agreed to let it lie.

No. Have to manually disable Windows Defender.

good, I prefer the option. I had some idiotic browser bug a month ago and used this to get rid of ot. I left it installed for awhile but it started to drive me crazy with some of the things it wouldn't let me do so I took it out rather then spend the time to learn it..maybe I will try it again as I know it works great if you ever do get anything.

The one I like is where I expect a .torrent file - they tell me it's a .torrent file - only it's a 234kb .exe file - yeah, thanks dude, think I'll pass on that great offer. "Yes - I really want to leave this page"

Why turn off defender? Does it conflict with Malwarebytes in some way?

I presently use Bitdefender free but after reading through this thread I will just use Windows Defender and the other recommended programs mentioned, so thanks guys:clap:

eSet Nod v8 and dump a couple of thousand add servers into your host file, and [Enable Stupidity Control] from the control panel

Kaspersky. I've been using Bitdefender but there is a huge problem with memory leak. Sometimes BD use over 4Gb RAM! Idle mode :)
