I have used Safari pretty often in the past but not for some months now. No matter what the various tests, it is not too fast. Plus one big irritant is that it opens another icon in the taskbar on opening. If you put one in the taskbar for easy access, another will open up. Similarly with itunes. As many people have said, IE is useful for some sites which work best for IE (I check my office Lotus Notes on IE). Chrome fails here. For everything else, Chrome 90% of the time and Firefox 10%. Really, 2 browsers are enough.
Firefox definitely: 1. Nicer tabs 2. Right click on link to copy link address to clipboard 3. No viruses 4. A lot of nice addons
but seriously if I hadn't had probs with firefox with a torrent site I upload at I'd still be using firefox but I've gotten to like chrome and it has definately been the victor in this beta-poll ...lol
best Browser I found Opera to be the best combination of speed/features; I use IE 8 as a backup if a particular site doesn't work with Opera. I stopped using chrome and firefox.
Most browsers have a Right Click > Copy Link Address feature (Chome, IE8, Opera, etc.). Chrome even has a Right Click > Go To ________ feature and a Right Click > Search Google For ________ feature (my personal favorites). Also, FF is the most insecure browser available, but using NoScript and a couple other add-ons will help lock it down. Of course, these add-ons are making their way to Chrome and possibly IE9. Normally I would agree with you about the add-on advantage of FF, but they have all but lost that advantage.
Firefox as number 1, IE 8 as number 2, since all my mails is OWE hosted, and Firefox do not support OWE (Outlook Web Access) full versions. And I love Firefox Sync, since I'm working on several computers. Always synced bookmarks etc, browser history, passwords etc.
Firefox is the best AFAIC. Chrome is very fast, if you use a couple of tabs, but if i try to open 40/50 tabs, like i do in firefox, Chrome is a tortoise. IE is horrible on all the ways.
