So, if you don't use any of the following: Windows Media Player, Camera, Music, TV & Movies or Skype - you simply prefer 'N' over the standard LTSB, right?
Any other apps not included in N?

The missing features and codecs can cause games to fail.

Not much into gaming here...but watching a documentary is something I can't do without.
And that comes either in H264 and (more often) in H265/HEVC.

Can I not get H264/H265 hardware acceleration by simply using VLC? (FYI - my GPU does suppord hardware acceleration for both)

Never faced problems with VLC. Still would never dare to even touch N version (kinda Nonsense version the Europeans forced to break MS Media Player monopoly).

It's not less crap it was made because of Europan law, not as a feature. It's a borked OS.

Speaking of regional flavours of W10 - I ve read somewhere there's a "Chinese Government" edition of Enterprise LTSB!!!

So basically, you get a choice whether you want to be spied upon by the US government or the Chinese

So, I presume there are no reported issues between latest (2.6.3) MTK and current updates? Otherwise, you would have mentioned it...

There have never been updates that were problematic for any KMS solution, except AV/defender definitions updates.

    WHD added KB4049065 and kb4073562.
    Also kb3133719 (Media features - which I don't need)

    Up to date.

WHD doesn't add anything, it only downloads what you select to download.
