    Oh I wouldn't be quite that dour, but I do agree to an extent that all hell really has broken loose. With no grace periods, everyone is going completely nuts.:eek:

    But hey, at least this means users do care about Windows 8 after all!:p

    Edit: And kudos to the mods to keeping this madhouse half-way sane

    i use the rtm everyday,and yes it needs i couple of fixes to work properly..almost an sp1

    Maybe the best way to handle the newbie is to close the board for 30 days to new registrations. That will keep the begging to a minimum. On the other hand, we were all newbies at one point ourselves, though we loathe to admit it.:D

    Hehe, threads like these (however noble) will not put a dent in the problem, it is going to happen anyway and 98% of them will not even read this thread. Just being realistic here :biggrin: It's like telling newbies at deviantArt they can't post themes in the visual styles section... you can tell them 500 times and it will still happen constantly. People will just look for thread titles like "Windows 8 activation" and move on if they can't find anything.

    And those looking for 'Activate NOW!!!!!!!' threads will never read this.

    Thats why we can come here 'RANT' for abit then head off back into the chaos :D

    Now that win8 goes RTM, is there a real chance that if some1 find some very nice trick to activate windows they remove that RTMs isos and bring new ones fixed?

    Install the latest version of Classic Menu then.....

    Start menu back, boots straight to Desktop and gets rid of the 'hot spots' in the corners.

    Can't believe the 'Non Metro' start screen is causing so much anger. It' s a minor inconvenience!!!!!

    I agree I much prefer the condensed start menu I get by right clicking where the "Start" tile is. I use the metro like my old start menu I just get to do what I want.
