I am trying to upgrade Windows 11 on a PC with legacy BIOS.

I keep running into this error:

    0xC1900101 - 0x2000D

The installation failed in the SAFE-OS phase with an error during MIGRATE-DATA operation.

    What is that?

What does that do with the BOOTMGR?

The problem is not that I can't bypass the system requirement checker.

The problem is that the new BOOTMGR is incompatible with Legacy BIOS.

    Hense the ?

Your problem is not known to me, i install windows 11 24H2/25H2/26H1 and the new 26H2 dev build, on legacy bios and it simply works, nothing is changing BOOTMGR on my tests.

    Interesting.

    My install keeps failing with:

    0xC1900101 - 0x2000D
The installation failed in the SAFE-OS phase with an error during MIGRATE-DATA operation.

I thought that it's a problem with the BOOTMGR.

Did you do a clean install or upgrade it from 23H2?

I changed the title as this might not be due to BOOTMGR

For me 23H2 was byebye when 24H2 appeared, although on my 2 main systems i still run IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC.

I can test 23H2 > 24H2 in a vm, but can't be sure that will be tonight, it is 11:21pm over here,

It's always best to disconnect all possible drives when upgrading, if i find the time i will setup my i7 8700 system with mixed mbr and gpt partitioned disks and redo my test.

How to make MRP HWID at the end of the index description of the iso you installed?

That index contains MAS and MRP files.

The index info can be modified by using imagex or wimlib-imagex.

    Example code:

    Imagex:
    Code:
    imagex /flags "Core" /info "install.wim" 1 "Win 11 (25H1) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705)" "Win 11 (25H1) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705)"
    imagex /flags "Core" /info "install.wim" 2 "Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP)" "Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP)"
    imagex /flags "Core" /info "install.wim" 3 "Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP - HWID)" "Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP - HWID)"
    imagex /flags "Core" /info "install.wim" 4 "Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP - O365)" "Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP - HWID - Office 365 - Ohook)"

    Wimlib-imagex:
    Code:
    wimlib-imagex.exe info "install.wim" 1 --image-property DISPLAYNAME="Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705)" --image-property DISPLAYDESCRIPTION="Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705)" --image-property FLAGS="Core"
    wimlib-imagex.exe info "install.wim" 2 --image-property DISPLAYNAME="Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP)" --image-property DISPLAYDESCRIPTION="Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705) - MRP" --image-property FLAGS="Core"
    wimlib-imagex.exe info "install.wim" 3 --image-property DISPLAYNAME="Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP - HWID)" --image-property DISPLAYDESCRIPTION="Win 11 (25H2) Home x64 en-US (26200.7705 - MRP - HWID)" --image-property FLAGS="Core"

The code above can be adjusted to all indexes, just copy paste the lines and add the index numbers and change the SKU info.

Put imagex in system32 or next to the install.wim you are editing the indexes from.

I also wanted the files to work, I'm a bit of a layman so I asked if you had the script, I liked the iso but my language is Pt-br... Thank you anyway.

It's not so simple, for example, this is the full output of my (IoT) Enterprise 2024 LTSC AiO ISO script (and i still do the ISO creation manually :D):
