What Eugene didn't tell you, is that the Russian govt requires access to their servers(they have a law). Of course Kaspersky can look squeaky clean because Kaspersky is not doing anything it isn't supposed to do... scan files and look for malicious software. But the Russian govt accesses servers via Kaspersky's Russian controlled ISP and checks any data coming into their country. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that whatever Kaspersky downloads, the Russian govt has a look at it too. This whole story about someone getting an illegal office sounds kinda suspicious considering that anybody that deals with NSA type of spyware ought to know how to get office without using a cracking program The more Eugene Kaspersky talks the more I think he is shoveling some B.S. to us
