I agree sid, ignore the arrogance and keep on trucking, people that post sh!t like that really have nothing better to do and are not happy in their own life so they are going to try and make you miserable along with them. But let me be clear here, not everything you post is a diamond in the ruff, 95% of what you post I look at and just move on, but every once in a while you will provide me with something that actually catches my eye and for that I thank you. In the instances that you post something that ACTUALLY is crapware, you know me, I will let you know because I have done it before. If you enjoy doing something then why let the sewer rats stop you from doing it? ignore it and keep moving, because the minute you stop they got what they wanted. And you are actually right, not all of us can afford to go and purchase expensive software so we rely on freebies and giveaways but you know what? 99.99% of the time the freebies and giveaways wind up working better than any software that can be purchased for absorbent prices. So look at it this way, your saving yourself a heap of money by using freebies and giveaways, this troll that posted this crappola is just flushing his money down the toilet. Personally I have not purchased a piece of software in over three years, not because I cannot afford it but because there is no need to purchase software, thanks to posters like you and forums like this. With 1,344 posts here and a ranking of MDL Expert, I really cannot fathom how he has lasted here so long with posts like that, I would have ousted his [Moderated] a long time ago.
My only response: 1. Sometime back I had pointed out that the thread originator was opening new threads for every giveaway and new threads were opening like flies all over the forum. 2. Most of the giveaways posted were pure cut and paste from another forum with all the inconsistencies, mistakes, and even the font sizes transferred here. The above two caused some back and forth and some requests and so the giveaways were consolidated into one thread. So at least one does not have to go through multiple threads to get one useful thread. By the way, this designation of expert, guru, addicted, newbie, or whatever is not claimed by me but as far as I know: 1. related to the number of posts on this forum 2. dependent on the judged usefulness of contribution to this forum. There are people with 20 posts who have contributed a lot, but then there are people (maybe me) who have designated as experts or whatever on this forum, which may not be justified. That is the way it is.
I agreed with most of the point you made here. Not all freebies posted here are gems but crapware and I've limited my posts to security software only you can check it back to-2/3 months. My point is/was why waste our hard earned money on software when some alternative in the form of giveaway/freebies are available , it may be for an year or for life time. I've got amazing response (help) from the members here when I needed to sort out my PC problems in numerous time, that's why I thought to help others with this thread 'cos I'm a noob to reply them in other forums (windows).
