Without wishing to offend anybody, I merely clarify that Ashampoo products referring to a year rather than a version number, are typically free. And so are usually older versions. It's Ashampoo's marketing policy to offer older products free, get a prospective customer's email, and then spam him with offers of upgrade to the latest version. But it is also fair to mention that they'll stop sending the emails if asked. This can, of course, be used by people to advantage, as older or special versions still provide good functionality.
