problem is though, your diagrams make no sense. There is no boot.ini for the vista based startup and mbr should not be modified, as bootmgr load code is contained within the partition bootsector
hazar greetings Hazar no hurry slowly -1 - A bootmgr modified boot.ini reads -2 - Grldr can be loaded with grldr.mbr (emulation mbr) -3 - NT6 ---> starting BCD but, is also starting a boot noBCD The project are fact, and works good luck @Michel greetings It is not a new charger is a new method of load It also serves to make test (to see if it works or not an grldr) good luck
@hazar betaE is ready for use. This was the first goal (to make real this speculation). After -----> improves I appreciate your offer @Lenmaer Greetings I also understand very well my graphics!!! ha ha ha ha...! good luck
dear @jess, when can we test your new betaE? I feel it is very promising especially on one of my PC's that won't boot at all using other loaders. It will only boot if I use SHUT DOWN button ,but on a soft restart (the other loaders auto restart the machine after finish) it won't boot al all. I want to say that soft restart is working well on that PC if WIN7 is in trial mode,so maybe your new way of emulating will finally work on this HP machine. Thanks
@luxury54 greetings The promises are not a good guide in emulation. Just valids the facts BetaE ---> Windows 7 and Windows Vista systems x86 ---> done ! BetaE ---> Windows 7 and Windows Vista systems x64 ---> done ! I hope and I want to be able to upload the download soon Good luck!
I have an WIN7 image file created with acronis true image so I'm able to put a new fresh install of WIN7 in 4 minutes and test any loader on a fresh system in just 4 min. can't wait to test it and report feedback edit: I found a way to install WIN7 from a 4GB usb stick that is installing much faster as from the DVD-ROM 1.) just quick format the stick to NTFS from WIN7 or using HP Format tool 2.) open a command prompt and type D: (suppose D is the DVD-ROM Drive with WIN7 Kit inserted) 3.) type cd D:\boot 4.) type bootsect /nt60 E: (suppose E is the letter of your USB Stick) 5.) using windows explorer just simply copy the whole instalation Kit from DVD to the root of stick E 6.) change settings in BIOS to boot from USB first You'll be surprised how fast will be the install and can be used on laptops without optical storage or if you want to give that little motor a break so it won't spin that much during instalation
Okay.. Now, i looked this over, and read the other replys in this thread, and i think i am liking what i am hearing! I posted in another thread that It kinda stunk losing the OEM activation for my Acer.... See, It came with Windows Vista, Activated OEM, but when i installed Wo7 (with the Acer fix, nothing, no other lo*der, works other than wo7 and the Acer fix) i gained OEM for my win 7, but lost OEM for Vista.. Now Vista is activated with the HP keys, but it just doesnt feel right... I would like at least one of my os's to be ACTUAlly genuine, you know.. lol maybe im just paranoid... Well, hopefully when this is released it can Fix my problem and clear my conscience.. thanx in advanced... p.s. The acer fix is for the recovery partition that is bootable on my Acer 5520.. Since my actual boot partition is the second partition, not first
Hi again jess, You are correct - I was just trying to clarify some details but my point is largely irrelevant now as it looks like you are well on your way with your emulator. Looking forward to 1st release .
Only one thing to say: Please translate it to english. Thanks for your effort. Can't wait to test it.
after 'MS-DOS WoW.exe' does control return to grldr or do you say that the msdos program directly loads bootmgr itself with grldr not needed anymore?
