It just goes to show that even super new members have good ideas to talk about. I'm really glad we have this great forum to talk about this stuff. I'm afraid if we tried talking about this stuff on a MS forum, we'd probably get moderated into silence.
That's simply very true what even many of the old an self claimed well knowledgeable members not only ignoring, even claiming that those product is given with ALL rights of using and even changing to them, like it's their own property!
If you'd read my post's in this thread, you would know that I'm well aware of that, and although what my comment in Post #134 is really means!
@say-no-to-data-mining: I didn't talked regarding hardware in any means! And, as the owner of any hardware I bought and paid for, I do reservers the right to do whatever I like to! That's one of a few Main Reason I didn't buy any Apple stuff and although refuse to do any Service for Apple products and software with my own company. What I do like to simply say is, that I'm aware of intellectual properties and regarded Law. And within my company we have a very creal rule, which every of our employees need to sign, that any breach of Law of intellectual property will result in immediate cancellation of the Employment Contract and loss of any additional outstanding benefit. Even if an Ex-Employee opens a court case against my company, they will loose and have to pay for all expenses. Any single Employment Contract is registered and certified by the Labour Department. About what any body do with any 'Free' software, legally or not, is just up to that person. I would not judge about that and my comments were only to open others 'Eye's' and warn about possible consequences. That such warning isn't liked and that users claim that such law didn't exist, you could easy see while reading the posts of some users of this thread and others.
@say-no-to-data-mining: Sorry, I didn't like to repeat myself many times and that said, for the most you wrote, I answered that in other post's already. Regarding the US Law, what should or could we really say? It's in many means just bulls**t. As the US takes the Intellectual Rights and Law on almost the same level, there a lot of examples where that law fails, against US Citizen's as well as Foreign Citizens. Special if it comes to US Companies involved against foreign people or companies, there's only little chance the foreign could win. That's in Asian or european counties quite a bit different, so in Thailand, except some communist country like SG, China etc.
I would suggest that you slowly read again about what I wrote about that application which ended up on Court's, in Thailand and Singapore! And just to mention, I do really not like if, what I wrote, is turned.
just delete it and be done with it. it's a Technical Preview. if it's still there when you buy your copy of Windows 10 then you have the right b**** and complain. until then if then< if it can safely be disabled without compromising the whole OS, i'm sure the fine people here at MDL who put in so much time helping everyone with their scripts, programs, and fixes will let us know. until the chill.
first of all that is not the reason for this thread. read the name of the thread. second of all it is implied that MS gives you the right to use this software if you let them snoop. only the courts can decide whether that is their right. right, maybe not. legal, refer to earlier paragraph. show me a post where someone states it is their right to do what they want with the Technical Preview. just because members are trying to circumvent certain aspects of the OS doesn't mean they think it is their right. they are just saying i can do it until someone ( the courts ) says i can't. at least that's my belief.
didn't you mean to say "stupid new members". thanks for the compliment, although it is totally incorrect. since i have very little programming skills ( i build and fix ), i'm just trying to offer what little i can in return for all that everyone offers.
Huh ... that much paranoia is amazing. You already stated this several dozen times, using similiar phrases. How about using a VM and turn off the networking or don't use sensitive stuff inside that VM .
If you can't contribute in any way stop demanding, some things need it's time to evolve. Better start learning how to use script files and virtual machines. There are tons of how-tos and video tutorials out there.
In short, no one will win a debate with you because of rhetorical and tedious answers from you, you always will have an excuse for every advise given. You are one of the most sophisticated and bitter trolls I've ever seen in my digital life No one should answer this guy a single comment of his, if only he could be a bit smart lide the geeks from here and contribute with something. Oh my, what a waste of data storage with his/her posts.
The right to complain: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no money right in this moment to feed my kids and still happy I am
You want control over your data ... so far a VM is the safest way to use the Preview. If you cannot figure this out yourself, i must ask what you're trying to achieve with your posts here in general. Keep in mind no-one knows exactly how the telemetry works, so no fix for it.
I tried to read up on from page 17 but I gave up. For those of you who are like me and don't want to read everything: say-no-to-data-mining: blah blah blah paranoia everyone else: We can laugh it off because its reality I really did try lol. That being said you need to understand how the information is collected along with what is collected before making a whole sale statement.
