@janek2012 any chance on adding XP key checking to your tool? here is a cmdline xp key checker and source if you are interested. File: chkpids_xp.7z CRC-32: e3746ce4 MD4: 5c6f57eedc974937333dc93148705b4f MD5: 9b43380b893295de1b405661919f491e SHA-1: db3105a4fa847c20d9de6c49b390305b69c2bb9f
janek, nice to see the tool in the correct forum area, and you noticed and fixed the 2010 to 2011 date error in the about section anyway what about, the ablility to select the sp0 and sp1 pkeyconfig in the tool rather than having to browse and load one in each time you want to test maybe add a check box, somthing like 'Server sp1 support', tick or untick but still keep the Custom File Loader, that is usefull cos the problem is currently, you might check a file full of keys and the tool says they are all invalid, but they might be perfectly fine sp0 level, but you wont know! or maybe an automatic sp0 sp1 key check, but i suppose that will double the checking time for each key check a couple of idea's to think about, but i suppose it might be worth waiting a while, to see what keys come available it might not be worth the bother if its just a few server keys here and there we need some more thoughts and ideas to thow around on that one, its a bit confusing ??
racky29, thanks for your suggestions Actually, I tought about adding checkboxes for Service Packs but I just haven't had enough time to implement it. I think I will add it very soon. Checking by using multiple pkeyconfigs will decrease performance so it's not good idea. BUT there may exist a way to just APPEND SP0's info to SP1's pkeyconfigs. Maybe Daz knows something about this. Also, keys designed specially for SP1, SP2, etc. are very rare and they are often being given away on conferrensions or meetings (I have one for Vista SP1 which I obtained in M$' survey). Thanks again for testing and posting suggestions to my tool. I hope you and all the community like it. Tito, thanks for sources, I will check them but I can't promise much. PS. "2010" bug was quite funny fail
