LOL Thanks for giving me a good laugh ill make sure to add it to the script in a little while Edit: Have to delete the registry key just in case for total telemetry removal
Aren't the url/ips essential to the telemetry service hardcoded in some dll, and bypass the host file? Also what's the point of blacklisting urls like the hotmail sub domains? lol.
hi I have ran your batch file , reg file and the power shell apps command and copied the hosts file back to original dir , is that all? or there is some service left to enable in order to get a complete uninstall of this "destroy windows spying tool ".
I known it but it didn't work... "sytem error 1058 the service is disabled or it is not associated with any device"
Hi I have used the program and clicked remove windows spying...Is that all I have to do or anything else left to completely block telemetry ?
yes you can delete the unwanted apps as well by clicking " remove all modern apps " in 4th tab in it.
I solved, launching "services" and set as "manual" the Windows update service... With the latest tool 1.4.2 also Windows Search bar is missed... Now I use Classic Shell v4.2.3 that is compatible with W10
All 0 basically makes it die outright. 127 will attempt to connect, likely wait for request, then die as localhost isn't serving it up. I'm going to block 90 domains via HOSTs, 6 IPs via Firewall.
so which ones are u blocking on firewall and is that windows firewall because that would be hilarouis if they diden't whitelist it there too.
Isn't the whole idea of the whitelist in dnsapi.dll that it bypasses any sort of blocking method? Or are you using a 3rd party firewall? And what addresses are you blocking?
