As I said before, Turkish will be the last one due to too many requests. Everything will be shared, don't beg for files.
I m trying to upgrade from 8 to 8.1, but below error is coming. Can anyone please help.. Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80004005: English ESD Bundle Parent. - EventData errorCode 0x80004005 updateTitle English ESD Bundle Parent updateGuid {1B1B22FE-B1BC-4B35-9BCF-8EFC6630AFC6} updateRevisionNumber 1 serviceGuid {117CAB2D-82B1-4B5A-A08C-4D62DBEE7782}
Any links to download GA releases of Windows 8.1 Retail Core (productID.288401200) and Pro (productID.288401500) with integrated ROLLUP-1? They are currently sold and are downloadable from MS Store, but not available on MSDN. Any links to checksums for these releases?
(Hopefully not a) stupid question. I don't use/have a flash drive (have a 500 GB external disk tho') and I don't want to burn another disc unless it's absolutely necessary (house getting cluttered with discs). Can I install 8.1 (Enterprise) (I have the ISO) without having to burn a disc/use a flash drive? [Using Win 8 Pro atm]
Dang. Flash drive it is, then. *starts digging beneath CDs and DVDs for a stray pen drive* I'll try this out and let y'all know how it goes. EDIT: Wait, I can upgrade without having to reinstall everything, right? Right??
At least I can install on a different partition? EDIT: I got tired of thinking it over and decided to take the leap. I prepped a bootable flash drive and ran the setup file from Windows Explorer. It allowed me the choice of retaining my existing programs and I naturally opted for it. A long and agonizing wait later, I'm now typing this from the 8.1, which, wait for it, I upgraded to. No programs lost, no data lost, nothing. I was worried about activation being lost (yes, I lost it) but I can thank some angel in Taiwan for getting it back. My day is made. (Sorry about the over-smiley-izing it. I'm really excited that nothing went wrong; Thank you guys for the ISOs and help!) PS: Anyone in this forum presently living in India can PM me for a drink.
