    I downloaded a copy of Windows 8.1, but the uploader claims it's a Pro Retail purchased by himself on 10 / 18 / 2013. How to check the registry, or elsewhere, to confirm this.
    How to know the difference between a RTM with GA Rollup and GDR release (10 / 17 / 2013) looking in the registry or elsewhere?

    Then, do you mean if I integrate GA Rollup into the iso, explorer.exe will remain 6.3.9600.16384 RTM?

    Some time ago I buyed a Windows 8 Pro, Upgrade Edition, VUP x64 & x86, for about 60 euro. Now on my 2-nd home lan pc made a clean install of the Windows 8.1 PRO (RTM edition from here) with the boot disk, a Intel SSD 520 sata3, MBR and ntfs formatted, using the generic install key PRO.

    After installation activated the Windows 8.1 PRO on-line using the upgrade key of the Win 8 PRO VUP, without phone activation and so on.

    Great Windows8.1!

    Where is the color intensity slider and color mixer for 8.1? or better yet can it be activated again like W8 via reg change etc..

    Thanks for any help on this..DP

    Right-click on desktop -> Personalization -> Color (at the bottom of the window) -> Click on any color apart from what is selected.
