Strange but on my desktop 8.1 embedded enterprise x64 work better than any other 8.1 pro or enterprise edition , so kudos to EFA11

 

So, I've been using the Evaluation copy of Windows 8.1 build 9600, From what I know, it will expire on Jan 14/15 2014. I had used an activator before, which used tokens and stuff to activate. Now I'm getting the annoying popup which says my Windows Evaluation copy is about to expire and once it does the PC will restart every 2 hours!
Any suggestions? Ideas? Fixes?

Probably a corrupted download, it may have been corrupted by moving etc. Just restart the torrent fresh, stop your torrent client and replace the new torrent content with your corrupted data. Restart the torrent client and it should re-check and download the corrupted data only

Sadly, no. The best thing to do would be quickly install the non-eval version so that your downtime is minimised. I would advise you to download the Enterprise edition, which will allow you to upgrade and keep all your programs, data and settings.
Give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

 

Can I install it via usb using RUFUS?

So, I dont have to format my C: drive? Just upgrade? Can you please be a bit more specific. Very new to windows 8.1.

 

AFAIK, no need to format. In-place upgrade possible.

So, A fresh install is better? I just wish I could keep all my programs and settings, instead of doing it all again.

 

See it as a healing process. We all know that it is a pain in the @ss starting from scratch but I assume that you never will use such hacktivation crap, never again
