ive managed to activate my windows 8.1 pro but every time i turn on my computer it asks me to download the 8.1 pro from the store..what can i do to prevent that?(i hope it wont block the whole system at 15/01/14 because its the last day someone can use the 8.1 preview)

 

the place ive downloaded from said its 'pro' version,but how can i check it?
i cant post the picture of my system because i dont have 20 messages

how did you "activate" your os?

edit: all further answers are obsolet. Go and install RTM

 

i used the place's i downloaded from method ,but it didnt work.. so "KMSpico" did the magic

you cannot go further with this version. Install full version because it is time bombed

You neeed to update your Preview to final version.
If not,from 2 in 2 hours your computer restarts automatically, and you can´t do anything to change it.

 

is there inside the ISO, any file to identify which versión of Windows 8.1 is?. I have downloaded several ISOs but really, I do not know which versión is each of them. VL or Retail?, core, pro, ....?. Date of the reléase?. As you can see I am not expert in this subject. Thanks

 

is more easy to find/verify what is by searching the checksums md5/sha1

Notice the red and green have matching SHA1, names may be different but the SHA1 shows they are in fact the same file.

The reason I am not using the hash of the ISOs is I have the ISO in Spanish language (example:es_windows_8_1_n_x64_dvd_2707939.iso) and you usually post the english ISOs.
Where is located and how can I open the install.win file?

Hello Guyz, I'm hoping you can help me understand this a little better. The threads on this topic are huge and I'm having trouble zeroing in on a few points.
I used the KMS TK to Activate Win 7 Pro and don't have any issues. I get updates and everything. I recently bought a Samsung ATIV Tab 7 w/ Win 8 and like it so far though logging into Microsoft has me a tiny bit worried about my next move. Which is: I also bought new SSD's and HHD's for my Desktop so I'm reviewing the jump to Win 8 now.
As I understand things, The MTK on CodyQX4's page should work on Win 8.1; However, I'm leery about downloading Win 8.1 from questionable sources (Torrent sites claiming "Activated", etc) so I downloaded Win 8.1 Pro VL from this thread. My primary concern is: Will this combo allow me full privileges including M-Live Logging (as opposed to local user only) and the Win-Store? Also, will I be required to rerun the MTK every so often? I used the MTK for years on Office 2010 & recently on 2013 and had to run it again every so often.
Guyz, I know this is a bit noob-ish for you fine people and I could probably find the answers if I read long enough but any help streamlining this for me would be a great help.
