I believe what smor·gas·bord is trying to say is, Win X.x Pro might end up installable into the next RT, removing the need for a separate RT Win X.xx. Interchangeable, goin with teh flowgin, one iso to rule zem all! I dunno lol
so if screenshots of Surface RT with 8.1 installed will be provided, why not create a bootable recovery disk from that said Surface RT and create an iso that everybody with a Surface RT can use? Once I install this on my Surface RT and I have not seen any recovery disk on the net I will try to make an en-US 8.1 recover iso available (links for 8.0 recover disk are already out there).
Unlikely if Wzor's prediction is true that Windows Phone and Windows RT and going to merged into One OS. The two things are completely different, Screenshots means pictures just to show that it is working and regarding whether to provide bootable recovery drive or not, the reason is already mentioned its for security purpose. you all will be provided a manual with all the necessary instructions on how to install surface rt correctly. if you still confused i strongly suggest you to wait for Official Release on 18 Oct to be very safe update on your surface rt. Edit: i'm going to sleep now, will update post tomorrow (12-13 hours later) if anything comes from WZT
I have been using a VLK key for my work-provided laptop running Win8 enterprise. Is it possible to use this key on 8.1 enterprise? In the past, I've activated my install via "slmgr.vbs /ipk my-key-here". thanks
