Thanks, never heard about Rufus, its a little bit confused with some extra options that i dont know what they do. But, oh wait, i think its still possible to make a bootable usb drive to install windows by just using a few cmd commands and then copy the extracted content in the iso into the usb stick

It still works just fine, but people around here seem to prefer Rufus for some reason...

I just looked, what MS has integrated to new "updated" ISOs and it is interesting, that there are three additional updates not listed anywhere else:
KB2938471,
KB2938772,
KB2937220.

But if you have an AIO with a size about 7.5 GB, windows 7 USB/DVD tool and Rufus don´t work. So I burn it with UltraIso and works fine.

 

Hi all, I'm looking to install windows 8.1 pro 64 bit sometime soon, I have a physical disk for Windows 8 pro that I purchased.
I have tried to do the upgrade key trick to download the 8.1 .iso from microsoft but my retail key seems to be blocked. I tried to download it multiple times but it never went past 0%

I would rather have the 8.1 pro update 1 .iso so I can have a fresh install.
Is there a legit 8.1 update 1 en-gb 64 bit iso ? I see the one on the 8.1 update mega thread does not seem to be untouched.

I am looking for the en-gb version not en-us.

I don't mind downloading the 8.1 pro 64 bit en-gb iso and updating via windows update.
my only question is will I be able to use my retail key to activate without issues ?
I see one must use a certain key when installing.

Thanks, I'll just download the 8.1 pro en-gb 64 bit .iso & see if I can merge the updates into the .iso or just update from windows update then activate with my serial
