    Can someone note that the Windows 8.1 Retail Core/Pro ISO has a \Sources\EI.CFG file that forces a PRO installation? That was driving me nuts trying to figure out why it kept on installing PRO. Just remove the 'Pro' line and set VL to 0 (if you want to supply the key yourself, if you're OEM, leave this at 1 to have it pull the key from BIOS)

    My OEM laptop only has a regular 8.1 license :p

    :g: ... untouched MSDN/VLSC ISOs aren't shipped with ei.cfg files. Where did you got yours from?

    Hello guys, so when i started downloading Windows 8.1 Pro , i saw that thers it sayes (with update ) :), so does this include the update 1 ? Thanks :)

    the "with update" means it has the update. But you will still download more updates after the "with update" is installed. lol

    yeah i know, about other updates , but i was asking about the Update 1 ( the April update ) ? :D :)

    most files with update are date 4/8/2014, period
