if anyone has downloaded the MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.PROFESSIONAL.RTM.X64.VOLUME.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT could you please post the SHA-1 value of the ISO, not the one from MSDN, I know that one. I need to know what your own DL'ed SHA-1 is. Thank you.

 

I downloaded it and de SHA-1 is the same !!

They are chosen for you on volume editions. They are defaulted to the gVLK (KMS key)

I have a legit Windows 8 Pro + mediacenter.
Why do I only have the upgrade option to keep files+docs or keep nothing?
I should have the option to keep applications too.

 

What was the original language version when you installed W8? Do you run it with a language pack? If so, install 8.1 with the same language version you did with 8 and later apply lp for 8.1. bet you can keep everything including apps

 

If anyone has the en-gb versions of Windows 8.1 Enterprise that would be appreciated! Thank you.

I thought about this also & I am downloading the English version which may have been the one I installed first (downloaded from the store don't have the files anymore).

So, 3rd try seems to work, I am installing right now.

It seems I have the EN-GB version, it probably was the only version available on the Microsoft store last october, as I generally install EN-US then add French & German languages.

 

what about a refresh of your PC by keeping all data? Perhaps it repairs to a state where you can start again using the correct language version upgrade

 

i installed win 8.1 enterprise vl and it says

Windows is in notification mode

what that means and when will expire? tnx

 

lol ... it likes to be activated Nothing will happen except the nagging hint that it needs to be activated, Watermark and no customization possible
