    Why would you want to do that? Why not just install Windows 8.1 N.

    to test what you asked. can there be an upgrade from 8-non-N to 8.1 N. Im interested :D

    I am already good on 8.1 physical machines, I am talking about this for in a Virtual environment for testing.

    Oh Ok.:biggrin: I have a feeling it should be fine. I don't think it will uninstall all the media apps from the Enterprise. Hopefully.

    small error while moving/cleaning a few posts and the server paused and did a doodoo :yucky: waiting on verdict if it can be saved.

    yep, a mistake has happened probably at MSDN. I downloaded new files when available showing release date 10/17

    I downloaded Win 8.1 Pro GA UK Iso from Microsoft and would like to make a pre activated copy using my Pre GA activation backup but how to use install.esd file (instead of install.wim)

    it's the way of activation, vl versions use MAK Key (Multiple Activation Key)/KMS ;)

    The non-vl versions use also the kms activation?

    And both the rtm and the vl iso were compiled on 21th August?
