That said, I will contribute in other ways, such as... VL editions? I'll do what I can. And for those who are requesting VL's QUIT posting such requests, no PMs either.
I first installed 8.1 using the Sept RTM .iso's from Sept on my HP computer that came with Win 8 Pro. I had to use a generic Retail key to install and then once in windows used my HP key to activate. What would happen if I use these new .iso's that are VL that have the 3 updates included? I'm still not clear on which ones I can use. Thanks.
having activated with your HP key has nothing to do with a VL license. You will need other keys for this channel which you probably don't have
Are you a paid user? Even so they annouce the service as xGB per day and there are many reports of 0.1 times xGB per day in reality...
Another reason to remove the dropbox link lol I like to share but if that puts my accounts in risk I'm more careful
I'm new, and wasn't sure about posting links, but here is a working method for activating the retail key version of Pro or Enterprise. h t t p://mgmet.me/iry9c I can verify this works, I've done three machines with it.
Paul..I'm still no clearer on this than when I started asking. What version of the 2 I mention can I do clean installs with? Tell me which one for each,Retail & OEM machines. I am mostly concerned with the OEM's. They come with a serial now in the bios but I know how to extract them. If I don't use the Sept release and I don't use the Oct 17th release what is it we use for my scenerios? Obviously I already said I used the Sept release on my HP and worked. It wouldn't take the OEM serial to install but did once installed to activate. Please a little more on what versions work on what scenario.Thanks.
I will agree on one thing, win8.1 will fix bad sectors on your hard drive, it proved it three times to me in the past few days... Truly amazing technology, i wish Microsoft would announce this stuff to us, i guess they want us to discover it on our own? Oh well, excellent!!!!
