I got a killer idea that'll make me come off as a troll, but if it makes you laugh, please spare me.

Put a password on the RAR files, and PM it to people only after verifying somehow (honest, I'm too much of a n00b to go into specifics) that they've seeded the files.

In other words, nobody opens the file until they've given back a bit to the community.

that is nearly impossible because you are anonymous when you either download or upload using p2p (not completely your ip can be found and then it has to be traced to you)

I may go with that. Gonna discuss that with Paul but in my experience the best free hosts to download are the ones to quickly remove any DMCA. But there's a catch. In order to up to those hosts I have to split the files using Winrar and people have to join them after the download. See the noobs doing that? lol

    Nope, I won't do that.

think we don't place us at the same level as paratutulu :D
We, copo and I, provide data at no cost (where I had to pay a lot of money for to make this clear: I am a private person who pays for several subscriptions, mega accounts, Ftp accounts and so forth) to simply have fun with having all genuine data available, use them by myself, helping friends and at least sharing them with all my friends on MDL. Call me crazy is ok

I was testing SVF command line batch script to create patches in one go for all files but SVF command line is worst....

Just rough idea is all patch files size won't be more that 4GB, means in just one upload everyone will have there image...
But SVF command line is not good enough, patch size is bigger than svf GUI ....

    Hi everyone~!
I'm rather new to the whole idea of torrents instead of direct downloading, but I think MDL is quite a trustworthy site so far, so I wish to help seed those files. My question is, though, would it turn out to be a bad idea on my part to download (via torrent) two editions for each language (namely Pro/VL and Enterprise since it seems those are the most needed??), finish the download, and leave it on to seed up until my computer needs to take a breather?

Haha thanks for the note :) I'm just worried if doing 2 of every language might overload the server(?) or wherever it's stored  (which going by the threads, I'm guessing it's mainly from Copo?? o_O)

you cannot overload this server: The more seeds are up the better and the faster d/l can be done. My enterprises are only distributed to copo and he seeds'em. everybody is welcome to the party

Torrents don't have servers that host files, you are the server and so are the rest of the people seeding it, a torrent just downloads the file from whoever else has it

I'm trying to download pt_windows_8_1_enterprise_x64_dvd_2972038.iso for 20 hours by now, with my crappy upload connection I've uploaded 1,7GB but my download is stuck at 17,3%. Seeders had set 1kbps/s upload?! :(

Oh, I see. That makes sense now and why they call torrents "peer to peer" when I started looking for a torrent client to use. But, what are "leechers" in this scenario then and what's defined as a "leecher" in torrent-ing for knowledge's sake if you don't mind me asking?

Oh and by the way, for all my seeding, it'll probably be a small Kb/s upload per file since it's limited by my internet provider and I don't pay for our internet so :p

Leechers have and are sharing the part of the file they have downloaded so far, but are also downloading some of what you are sharing that they do not yet have at the same time

While you are downloading a file, you are also sharing back the part that you have downloaded, once you have downloaded all of it, and you leave it running in your torrent client, you become a seeder

consider your time zone. Your language file is used mostly at the "west end" of the world where it is noon time/early afternoon or such viewed from Germany atm. Perhaps some are out for some dues like work and come home later in the evening and start the PC. Guys use some brain when asking for torrent please

You should read this BitTorrent at Wikipedia(I can't post links).
Anyway, leechers are same as peers, in other words, people that don't have full file, people who is downloading.
Seeders are people who has full file, in other words, peoplo who is only uploading their full file.

If there aren´t seeders, you are a seeder to upload to people who have less % downloaded until they reach 17.3%. Here I have the same problem. While I´m trying to download the same file, I finishede downloading 2 files em en-us
