I fully agree with Paul on this so don't expect some miracle that will get you an activated OS immediately. The purpose of this thread is to inform people about version wise what is supported in order for the Activation chart to be a companion to it. This means its a reference tool for less experienced individuals who cannot immediately grasp activation information. This is basically a present from the Activation people. However do not think for a moment I'm going to dumb this down to the point of no return.
You're correct. I'm both patient and impatient at the same time. My thinking was more inclined to the fact that now that 8.1 is generally available the mechanism behind the activation can be more easily(?) monitored by the guys with skills and experience. And since I'm a noob in this field, it's just wild guesses that I'm throwing around. I just wish it took the same amount of time as it did with 8.0 activation wise. KMS servers supporting 8.0 appeared almost instantaneously, if I remember correctly.
I would not count on that as the Windows 8.1 represents an incremental upgrade to the OS meaning I honestly do not think it will be that popular. Hopefully I'm mistaken in this respect though.
any KMS server which allows activating VL editions certainly will appear pretty soon, no doubt. MTK or Heldi tools for local activation are more interesting but this will take much more time now
You forgot to mention KMS Pico I've added a section that is a simple overview of the activation definitions which are going to be the official forum definitions which I support as they correctly define whats what. There will be more to do with this Thread though
See Cody this is why I sent you a PM to clarify the KMS activation more since you're the man for it lol
Ok Got all the Repositories linked up with the OS Versions. That should make life somewhat easier in make everything happen. Idea's on what to add next?
Alas it is with much sadness I must say that these items cannot be found here error 404 man s**t happens.
Ah but of course, the ever prevalent moronic "do better or stop criticizing" argument. Not atypical of forums such as this.
The goal of this thread is to educate people on the Windows Activation while providing a more in depth role in how the activation is part of the Windows Operating System. I would encourage you to read more thoroughly into the matter. It's true this forum has its down sides but don't take the abrasiveness to heart its better to keep an open mind. At no portion will I ever directly insult peoples intelligence as there is much to learn from this thread and more that can be added.
No offence, but... this is the interessing part... And (more important) thanks for the take over of self-determination. - The "reason" is ridiculous. That relates me to: ...and I have to agree. This is just a surface scratching summery... I expected much more while skim the lines and after actual reading them. Especially as Smorgan and Me had some little conversation within another thread where he said it's more than tokens.dat / data.dat and so on. What I like in the first post is the mentioning from Tools. Some are nearly gone others are my worth to dive in little more as I'm still interessted in Hacktivation / Cracktivatoin methodes (just for research) but especially for this part you're keeping it all out from mentioning.
Don't forget driver based activation's via royal.sys for vista and secret-nine-toes's W7 driver. Maybe give a little shout-out to the slic from nic methods.
