    Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread, got me a copy of win svr 2012 foundation to play with :)

    Is there any install key for Windows 2012 R2 Storage Server ? If I use the 2012-R2 standard or foundation it says it's not the right edition.
    I can't seem to see it in the OE lists either?

    hello what is the difference essential R2? because I have the normal essential no R2 :confused:
    it is there an oem key essential R2;)

    Sent WinDev a PM. The magnet link for Server 2012 R2 Essentials won't parse. Can you provide an updated working magnet link for Server 2012 R2 Essentials?

    i wanna download server 2012 R2 X64 datacenter . there are many files for the 2012 r2 like Retail , VL and Vl with rollup . iam confused and i don't know which one works with the activator . i am gonna use Daz loader (for activating standrad ver) and mtk 2.5 for activating datacenter edition . kindly tell me which file i need to download that works with the Daz and MTK activator .:confused:

    Really:eek:. both 2012 R2 RTM and VL are technically same. correct me if i am wrong . wat r the prons of vl over Rtm edition .can u explain it to me .

    That's only the way of activation which is really different as VL editions must be activated with MAK keys (Multiple Activation Key)

    Again wrong; you can activate VL edition by retail or OEM keys too.

    VL edition comes with GVLK ~ nothing else.

    initially i will be running the server on a workstation and in the future i will be installing the data center as my main os . sorry for the noob question . what to u mean by bios slicked .do i need to care about the bios slic even if i am running the os on workstation initially o_O
