How does the OEMBIOS tool (v1.1) detect which OEM SLP string is present? How does the OEMBIOS tool (v1.1) detect which OEM SLP string is present?
It is not magic, it has hard coded all 99 strings & its memory locations & simply checks memory range of the PC on which it runs Really simple sebus
I've got some problem when I check a few old lappy in my friends store, there's some redundant strings that had different CRC32, for example like asus strings below : ASUS (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=B20C65BF) that's what the oemtools said, I've check n compare with crypto xp oembios archive there's an asus file but didn't match crc32, should I download from oembios.net or the asus oembios file from crypto (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=2411858C) will work with this too? Thx in advance for ur help!
Use ASUS (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=2411858C) it holds these SLP strings Code: f000,0000,ffff,ASUSTeK Pegasus f000,c000,3fff,ASUS_FLASH f000,0000,ffff,ASUS_FLASH the redundant (old) ASUS (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=B20C65BF) did only have 1 SLP string, eg: Code: f000,c000,3fff,ASUS_FLASH
Freestyler n urie, thx to both of u, I'll install the oem xp based on that oembios, may GOD bless u with ur knowledge!
