how do you use the uncompressed file procedure

    hello:

I read and tested the procedure to make an oem disk up using the compressed oembios files and it worked perfectly. however, I do not understand the procedure when using the UNcompressed files to convert the license of an already installed Windows XP (whether it's Retail or Volume License), into an OEM:SLP license.

The first post gives us only the 4 files need but what do you do with them?? I am using a vlk xp pro disk. not sure what s/n to use either. confused. plz help.

    It states: UNCOMPRESSED (oembios.bin, oembios.cat, oembios.dat, oembios.sig)
These are used to convert the license of an already installed Windows XP (whether it's Retail or Volume License), into an OEM:SLP license.
All uncompressed sets have been properly verified.

    thanks..regards...

The files are uncompressed whey you install the OS. The uncompressed files are added to installed OS, not install ISO.

If you have VL installed and want to convert to OEM, use the uncompressed files. The oembios changer will take either..manually you need uncompressed.

If you add OEMBIOS files to ISO for preactivation..you need compressed files.

    still have no clue

911 thanks for prompt reply but I still have no clue as to what you are saying. It's not easy when a person is new to a technique. I read most of the 27 pages and just cannot get the jist of it.

I have an Nlite sp3 xp version, made with a vlk disc with a vlk s/n installed fresh. Could you point me in the direction of my next move. its installed on a dell dimension e310. I have downloaded the 4 uncompressed oembios files. I did a search and found 3 of them in the windows/system32 directory and the oembios.cat in a different subdirectory. I would like to get this dell activated with MY disc "after" installation.
    regards...

ok did some more research. Apparently I need to use your oembios changer application. I downloaded it (btw, avg reports a trojan virus). Is there a step by step guide for this or is it self explanatory? by just using this program will it change a vlk to an oem install by just having those oem uncompressed files on the "c" drive? regards...

AVG labels everything a virus..it is just batch files if you look. The EXE is converted from batch and that is where the "virus' comes from.

The readme is the info you need. run the tool and it is very easy to figure out..Put the files in the correct folder and run it..

It seems the Antiwpa is being flagged illegitimate lately. Its a crapshoot and I do not know why you would use it with a Dell machine??

I just wanted a backup measure in case the changer didnt work in the future. I also thought the antiwpa might use a procedure similar to the jelly bean wga-fix.exe which seems to activate xp pro vlk's with no problem. regards...

If you installed Antiwpa, how do you know the changer worked? Why wouldnt the changer work? The fact is the changer adds nothing but legit serial and files..if it works now, it will work later. Certainly for Dell and similar computers.

You need to uninstall the crack, it is for borked 64bit activation attempts for the most part. No files or .dll are modified in the AntiWPA method included in the changer. There is one that does, but can be a PITA to take out.

It might be best for you to go to the win 7 forum and read through the repository thread. make your own Win 7 dvd's or use your own and use Daz's loader. Or you will have to do a bios mod. either way you will be activated. Regards...

I used the changer and as I said it worked flawlessly. I then formatted and re-installed my nlite vlk xp pro disk and tried your antiwpa and it didnt work. Those are the steps I used. Its no biggie because your changer works great. Again I was messing around with your antiwpa, just trying to experiment and learn. Regards...
