    @ pennsylvaniaron, looking at that report is seems like you have Phoenix bios but from what i can find on the net via KT600-8237 mother boards have an award bios can you confirm which type of bios it has?

    The bios is Phoenix Award bios. Old school for Award bios. I will not go into why this is an Award Bios again but it is, indeed Award.

    Epox never had an OEMBIOS set so the EPOX strings in the bios are nothing more than ident strings. You will have to use the dmi tool, or Andys tool to add the string to bios. The dmi tools do not require a flash and are safer from that standpoint. Use a manufacturer with address valid in the dmi and the appropriate oembios set with the changer and you will be good. You can uninstall the antiWGA thing FIRST and use the changer from safe mode.

    first off thank you 911medic and urie (and others) for your prompt replies (and concern, interest etc). I have never used this tool and I am more the hardware person than software. for me this will be a small project (nice) and am eager to learn how to use the tool etc. right now I don't know what "Use a manufacturer with address valid in the dmi " means but I'll try and figure it out. thanks again. Regards...

    @FreeStyler

    Could you please post a link to your latest version of XPOEM.EXE (previously OEMBIOS.EXE) as a separate file rather than only as embedded in the FREEDOS boot image currently linked on post #352 on this thread?

    The reason is that I would like to use it by simply adding to a "good old fashioned" MS-DOS bootable floppy and it's a painful prrocess to try to extract it from the FREEDOS image and get it onto a floppy - or at least it's causing me a few headaches trying to do so!

    (There is a version in the "Bootable USB Stick" link on the same post but it does not include your most recent refinements!)

    Hope this might be possible? :)

    Thanks for all your hard work on this!

    If I already have installed "XP Pro SP3" modified to allow Tablet PC Edition functionality on a Toshiba Portege M200, do I just replace the original Toshiba OEM bios files with the "uncompressed" Toshiba bios files that came with the download from your archive, and it should activate? If there's more to it can you please explain?
    thanks,
    disaksen

    I do not have access to crypto's mediafire folder, so i can't add them to his folder... adding them to another host or folder could be a option but I do not like to hijack crypto's (hard) work
