Trying to download: DELL (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=87870F5A) From Skydrive. Comes up and even asks me where I want to download the file to, but then, nothing happens. Even did an "exhaustive" Google search for the file, and all THOSE links are dead also. Anybody help me out? Thanks.
My first attempt at retrieving the file, was a straight shot, without being logged in. Then, cleared all computer cache, and tried by logging in. This time, while logged in, it said something to the effect that the files may have been deleted, or, that I do not have access to the content. So, either way failed to work. And what blew me away, was that, even with a lengthy Goggle search, I could not find a working link for that file. I realize XP is a dead horse, but, there are still alot of us hobbyist out there that may/will need access to these files one day, and with that said, I hope that maybe someone will look into this, and possibly get all those OEMBIOS files to a new location, and link that works. Still hoping that someone here can help. Thanks.
Bon of a Sitch ... I just tried it from Firefox and it worked. My apologies to all in the group. You would think by now, that I should know that, if it doesnt work in IE, it WILL work in another browser. Thanks again johnye_pt.
I have a micronpc TransPort T1000 laptop, it's really a thinly disguised Samsung P series. The oembios test says it needs the Samsung 904CF15A oembios files. Got that downloaded and all extracted. How do I go about setting this up for XP Pro so that when I install it'll says it's a micronpc instead of a Samsung? I was able to rescue the SLP key using magical jelly bean and connecting the drive with a very buggered OEM install of XP Pro to another box with an IDE to USB adapter. Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 Product Part No.: A22-00001 Installed from 'OEM' media. It's a 1.6 Ghz Pentium 4 M with a gig of RAM and will have a new 80 gig drive. Has an ATi Radeon 7500 with 32 meg dedicated VRAM. Any chance of putting together an OEM Vista install for it?
Redundant file sets Does anyone have the redundant file sets? Does anyone else get Verification Errors from the following file set on the Sky Drive File Set: COMPAQ 74572CCF View attachment 20955
Thanks for the links about the COMPAQ 74572CCF file set. Sorry about the repost. Does anyone have these redundant file sets Code: A5E32571 Compaq Redundant ---------- 1B7F1F55 eMachines 5B886419 eMachines 397A095A Equus 9C7D1B43 Equus 239141C0 Founder BACB9A77 Fujitsu E161F004 FujitsuSiemens 00A1EECB Hewlett-Packard AA3E00F6 Legend 82D4D6A4 NEC F7768C8B SOTEC 0378CC4E Systemax E4143622 Toshiba 18B0784B Toshiba
I think i got them all, but why hassle with redundant/obsolete oembios sets? With the non-redundant, or non-obsolete sets you have everything you will ever need.
It's just something I'm working on and I'm missing these file sets to complete it. I've tried getting these file sets but all links seem to be dead.
