@crypto, did you notice anything strange about this last set? did you verify them?
it is missing the platform where it is for, eg: WIN_XP

Dunno if this causes any trouble... will test it on a VM tonight

    (OP)
    I had no problems whatsoever.
No errors opening the zip file, no errors unpacking the zip file, no errors decompressing the OEMBIOS files and all decompressed files were successfully verified.

Regarding the missing platform ID, there are many OEMBIOS sets that don't have it. The reason is because if it's absent, then it automatically defaults to WinXP.

    The whitepaper explains:

    Code:
The OEMBIOS.ini file contains the following:

    • A [Version] section, which specifies the target platform for which the OEMBIOS.ini file is submitted. The syntax is: [Version] PlatformID = ID
    • Where ID is either WinXP or WINDOWS_SERVER_2003
Note: If there is no [Version] section in OEMBIOS.ini or the PlatformID entry is not specified, then by default PlatformID = WinXP. If an invalid PlatformID is specified, an appropriate error will be reported.

If you know better...why do you ask?
The program says to use Matsus**ta, so use Matsus**ta !!!

The program says: Lines Starting with E: are not reliably detected under windows so you need the ones starting with F:
Hitachi is a no go (Probably HardDisk?)

thank you for the support, unfortunately, are a little beast with computer!
The strange thing is that I do not have devices in your notebook with the letter F:, which the Matsus**ta has the letter E:, while the Hitachi hard disk is divided into C: and D:
I asked this question because I wanted to become part of an OEM disk for my notebook using your fantastic and wonderful guides, but I had some doubts.
If you tell me to use the archives calmly OEMBIOS Matsus**ta I will do so, and then you'll know.
    Amen.

O no....E: and F: are not related to drives :)

Anyway just try the Matsus**ta set...it will work!

Well FreeStyler that is the fist time i have actually heard explanation for E: F: e.c.t so you are saying oembios.exe is checking hard ware from registry also, Had this discussion a few weeks back one member said rather than flashing bios or using say dmi boot cd he said he just add a say hitachi hard drive i know certain things are tied to manufacturers i.e.branded.

Just my ignorance , good to know.

If you run that tool under pure DOS most likely will only detect Matsus**ta in above case... Windows does something fishy, and stores manufacturer info from for example a harddrive in the same memory space

Thx, a first glance at these 2 Systemax sets tells me we need both sets in the archive as both sets hold a few unique strings not availble in the other
