I think you are mixing up things, the oembios reporting tool does not look at the key, but it looks to SLP strings inside the computers BIOS

RM machines? is this the same as RM-PLC, if yes, I assume you have used the RM-plc oembios set to activate these, right?
Seems to me the 3th pc simply requires the HP/COMPAQ oembios set, maybe a replacement motherboard?

Yeah the SLP is saying HP/COMPAQ so made a HP/COMPAQ cd and it still didnt activate, yet tried the disk on my HP D530 which gave the same string in the reporting tool and it activated. Any ideas?

I have a friend who has a biostar motherboard. when i run the oemscan to determine the which bios strings would activate it, it starts then closes after 3 seconds. Any idea why this is so? im thinking that it lacks any form of string in the bios,

That is correct. You have no SLP in a Biostar motherboard..

Had to put the sentence as the code only is not accepted in post, so I just made it up (instead of an obvious like Here is their site etc)
Actually XP is an add-on option from dell.co.uk during configuration

No, But my question for you, has Foxconn ever sold pre-installed notebooks/desktops with XP installed??? As far as i know Foxconn is a motherboard developer and thus has no oembios files available

No, they are build with different components and Foxconn mainboards ( SLP tools doesnt detect anything - so i guess i need a moded bios )
