Hi Amey, Thanks posting step by step help. I want to download Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 (x86) - CD VL (English), but i would like to know does it has sata support, if not can u integrate please & post link through torrent or megaupload. Thanks, Mokssh
Please update the guide with AntiWAT v3.5.1 instead of AntiWPA 3.4.6 because I have been pulling all my hair out with AntiWPA 3.4.6 and the official VL English MSDN iso (linked in the guide too!). Sometimes it was activating, sometimes it wasn't. After some crazy time, I found that at the end of the AntiWPA thread, there is a link to an updated version of AntiWPA (now called AntiWAT) what works 100% reliably! h t t p://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/26988-Activate-Windows-XP-Pro-Home-MCE-Server-2003-Server-2003-R2-etc-(AntiWPA)/page2?p=438214&viewfull=1#post438214 If you don't like registering for yet another forum, I attached the file here:
I have a Dell laptop with the microsoft product key for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. I downloaded "Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (x86) (CD 1 and CD2) (English)" from the first post. When I got to the screen to enter in the product key, it said it wasn't valid. I tried to leave it blank and click next, but it wouldn't let me continue. 1. Should the product key have worked? 2. What are my options to get MCE 2005 installed? 3. Could I install XP Home edition and install Media Center afterwards? If so, how?
1. Product key worked after I edited the setupp.ini file. Post #81 "ht tp://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/11087-Looking-for-untouched-Win-XP-MCE-2005/page8" 2. Read answer 1. 3. Not that I found. I thought I would answer my own questions because I kept reading through the forums and found my answer.
@ i3one21, that will let you install it but you will still need to activate on-line because you have not added dell oem bios files and winnt.sif file with serial number to cd so you can pre activate.
Thanks for the reply. I did know about adding the oem bios files, but I didn't know what winnt.sif is. I read it will allow automatic install of the product key. I'm fine with entering it manually.
