Hello.. Trying to validate xp sp3 using AntiWAT.. Installed it succesfully but when it comes to online "Windows Genuine Validation", it takes forever.. still seeing the green circle indicates that is loading.. any ideas??
Uninstall antiwat and activate with oembios and slp..antiwat ant the like will never be genuine..as said an incredible amount of times before...
Is there a update to this thread? I got uturrent.(had to misspell so it would not be a link) Then the download did not happen as the site timed out. I tried all the downloads given with the same result.I loaded this so I do not think it is my connection.Have tried many times. Could the site really be that busy?
I'm not sure I understand what is listed here. There are quite a few different XP ISOs because of different licensing, when I see (CD) it means absolutely nothing. Is it the Retail, OEM, VLK, or Upgrade version? They aren't interchangeable. Also MCE 2005 only came in two versions, MSDN (which won't take the OEM COA key) and the OEM edition. There should be (with SP3) Windows XP Home OEM Windows XP Home Retail Windows XP Home Upgrade Windows XP Pro OEM Windows XP Pro Retail Windows XP Pro Upgrade Windows XP Pro VLK Windows XP Tablet Edition OEM (I'm not sure if SP3 can be or ever was integrated and offered officially) Windows XP MCE 2005 OEM (w/SP2) Windows XP MCE 2005 MSDN (w/SP2) I'm not sure about the original MCE/MCE2004/MCE2005 releases and whether or not the OEM COA keys work between all versions. So, in order to have a full set of discs which can be activated on any computer we might need older editions of MCE as well, does someone know the answer to this? I have virus-free, and no software added versions of most of these discs but they unfortunately aren't entirely untouched. If we could get entirely unmodified ISOs of all of these, that would be great.
But If you can see the title in this post. Ameykelkar said this is a "Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (x86) (CD 1 and CD2) (English)" so, that means this version is 1 of 2 versions available about Win Xp MCE 2005. 1.- Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 ("Symphony", Available in October 2004) 2.- Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 ("Emerald", October 2005) with RollUp 2 Thats what I try to said, because when I installed this ISO was Win XP MCE 2002 SP2. So I think he should change the title label that he wrote in his post. I forgot to tell you if you go to google and write M93-00200 this is the last CD verion was released. Here some links. look here: www brokerbin.com/resellers/network/MICROSOFT/M9300200.html ascendtech.us/microsoft-windows-xp-media-center-2005_i_swomicwxpmediac.aspx My aunt has a old HP desktop that it came with WinXp MCE 2005 RollUp 2 but, know with this ISO (it was post here) if you go to:My Computer - right click - Properties; and check you can see this is Win XP MCE 2002. However when I installed the SP3 manually this still be MCE 2002 but now with SP3 @Festac: Thnks is working now, I downloaded and installed SP3 manually and now Windows Update is working.
Hello, is there any Windows XP Pro SP3 (preferrably Lite version of some kind) with build in the LATEST updates (like let say from this month November) available somewhere and in Dutch language. I need it for some slow netbook Asus EEE PC 900. And another thing....I want to install it on the 4GB SSD instead of the 16GB SSD. (The 4GB SSD is way faster then the 16GB SSD). But will Windows install 'proceed' with the install as it 'notice' that I want to install it on the 4GB SSD? (It shows in My Computer as 3.73GB). Thank you in advance. ADD: Someone told me to instead look for the Runcore SSD that I can better try some SDHC card...so...I have this 8GB SDHC card (Class 6) but it is even slower then the 'slow' 16GB SSD...So not very usefull to go for that option. As it will be even slower...
Darn, just followed these instructions to a T, including having to search other posts for updated links, etc. Everything went great, and I got confirmation that the BIOS was changed or whatever and then was prompted to reboot. I did so...and about 2 minutes after rebooting I got the 30-day activation balloon again. And when I tried to go to the Windows Genuine Validation link it said "Windows has not yet been activated with a genuine product key, blah, blah, blah." And then it tries to sell you Windows 7. Since I'm using Home I didn't enter a product key at all during installation. Does this simply not work anymore? I missed no steps, downloaded the proper OEMBIOS file set, etc. And here I am an hour later at the same place I started. Help?
I can assure you nothing has changed if using OEM:SLP activation it works. Post what steps you did to make your cd e.c.t on main XP section.
You can find lots of VL keys by searching for them on google, though urie is right quite a few have now been blacklisted, so OEM:SLP activation is really the only choice to activate XP, since it's no longer available to buy. (Unless you are buying second-hand on ebay!)
I did exactly as outlined. Downloaded via the torrent, checked the hash, burned using ImgBurn. Absolutely no problems there, and installation was a breeze (I entered no key). I can't figure out what the problem is. Thx.
I did, yes. Followed Missions 5.1 and 5.2 correctly. Put the four needed files into the Uncompressed oembios folder, ran the tool using options 5, 3, 3, got a scroll of activity followed by some sort of confirmation screen (can't remember what it said) and asking me to reboot. I'm wondering if I should try again using the second of the two strings of values that the test listed (both are downloadable from the skydrive site, I used the first one). FYI, I'm trying this on an Asus Eee PC 1002HA, if that matters. Thank you. EDIT: One thing I didn't mention earlier. When I extracted the files I downloaded from skydrive I got folder where the file extensions (except for the SLP read me file) all had a "_" as the last character, instead of the actual last letter. So, I got OEMBIOS.BI_ instead of OEMBIOS.BIN, etc. So I had to rename the four files first. Is this typical, or does it have anything to do with my having downloaded from a different machine than the one I was going to use the files on (I downloaded on a W7 64-bit machine and then stuck the zip file on a thumb drive to move to the XP machine)? I can't imagine that matters, though. Plus after renaming the files worked fine using the tool anyway.
