I believe Microsoft is actually going to announce Windows vNext/12 at this year's Ignite.
Several under the hood changes, new default wallpapers -- unusual for just a feature update.
Not just that, rumors claim each SKU/edition will have its own variant of those new default wallpapers.
Eager to see what the ones from Enterprise and Pro for Workstations editions look like.

Among other changes we'll see at the conference starting November 17.

The only reason, I am looking forward to 12 is, that MS promised to use separate partitions for everything, like Windows, docs, apps, etc. Something that people consider unnecessary and then they cry, when they have to reinstall.

I did. I couldn't CLICK IT. And when I highlighted it to paste into an address bar, it accidentally posted instead.
Still got the job done, I was able to CLICK IT in my accidental post.

Very smart:rolleyes:Must be something in the water...

When the link is ckickable the link does not show the full name, now you can read the full url and make up the content of the link, instead of blindly clicking links...

I *never* blind-click. Force of *habit*. I hover over the link and look at the entire URL in my browser bottom corner.
It really is a force of habit. Been doing that since the 90s.

I'll open HTML source code if it won't display. Trust me, I *never* blind-click.

Do you have to post one reply after the other and drag threads into pages of nonsense info?

    I'm going to say yes.

Technically, I agree with your first thoughts - why the OCD'ing over the number?
I did not vote and this is a chit-chat thread of no real "meat".
