Hi guys i have a thinkpad x230 laptop which died during bios update. I have a spi programmer with witch i can program the two bios chips SPI1 - 8 mb size and SPi2 - 4mb size. the problem is that when uppack the original exe from the lenovo site there are two fl files $01D3000.fl1 size 8.388 mb and $01D3000.fl2 size 12.718 mb. I tried to use phcomp.exe to decompres them but they become even larger although the bois is a insyde bios, not phoenix. Can You please assist me in getting the right content of the two spi1 chips from the bios files from the original bios. I am attaching the content from the chips after the bad bios update ***ttps://mega.co.nz/#!5EsXkTrJ!knRQtj2BnKiYNAkfQLAMjoi7hCA927w9OROz4t3fAgg ***ttps://mega.co.nz/#!QB9BRRgI!f13GCkk__1Z44WNiLp2Y7yWvWI-neDGR54UxYPqO24w and the $01D3000.fl1 and $01D3000.fl2 files from the lenovo website bios. ***ttps://mega.co.nz/#!8AsAUBBL!Iuw-rKeE0HOjAlH2N1cYSBDbIpv4yOSIq0qj_ti-t6Y ****ttps://mega.co.nz/#!MJVRDKpJ!o8bKNfIvFHyHqrULMM6XpqSvWAe1ttPsjPEGar2iRNM
Hi, I have a similar problem, may I ask how you managed to solve it? I'm trying to extract the 4MB part of the bios file with uefitool to flash to the 'upper' chip by means of a CH341A-SPI programmer, to no avail so far... Do I need the original blobs from the BIOS? I have an x230 here with coreboot, but the owner didn't make a BIOS dump before flashing coreboot. Thanks for your help!
