This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk

    Hi I need your help please, I don't know what this problem. "This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk, ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in computer's Bios menu ".. I am installing the windows 8 then when i begun to create partition that error message prompt...please help me.

    first thing which comes to my mind is,

    is this UEFI ?

    Windows 8 is UEFI boot as default if I am not mistaken.

    Try boot into BIOS and set the first boot as the drive with the UEFI icon attached. That's what my Z77 board shows. If using F8 I think you select the drive with Windows Management and not just the drive.

    That's just off top of my head. I can check and see what the exact wording is.
