OEM Table ID "PE_SC3 "

However... Cannot find the string HPQOEM.. or SLIC... so I don't know what is the next best option...

Is it possible to just fudge the bios? or flash a updated one... or find where the table exists..and update another way?

You sure there is no SLIC string? Cuz I might pull out my old compaq and check if the string is there.

You can't locate the string in og bios file.
When you click Next in HPQFlash update utility, the bios file is being decrypted and placed in RAM. That's where you supposed to find for SLIC.

I can't run HPQFlash on non compaq device as the driver fails to load.

 

i've tried.. it just wont find the value when i open with hex and search in the loaded flash file.... the string is just not there like it is on the NC6400

 

Hello everyone! Is it possible to make a BIOS modification on HP Compaq SFF series computers?
I have a PC 6300 Pro SFF, and its BIOS is from AMI. I tried all the ways and even managed to make a modified BIOS myself (via AMIBCP), but it cannot be flashed due to the lack of a valid BIOS digital signature, because the firmware program first checks the signature of the BIOS file, and only then gives the go-ahead or refusal (in my case, refusal) to the BIOS firmware.
And I have a question, is it possible to disable this check somehow?

Would this also work on Z series HP workstation? I am not sure if the Z440/640/840 even are AMI Aptio. Kind of new to this whole process.

 

Need the zd8000 no-whitelist BIOS reuploaded and archived. Don't know why temp storage sites are being used for these since these obscure files can be helpful for many people...

Thank you for the links and quick response man, i flashed the dual-ida for 2730p and now the laptop is bricked, nothing except black screen.
